- Is our desired date available, and are there different rates for Fridays, Sundays, or shoulder season months?
- What is the absolute legal capacity of the space for a seated dinner with a dance floor? (Venues often cite standing cocktail capacity, which can be 40% higher than seated capacity!)
- Will any other events, weddings, or public tours take place on the property on the same day?
- How many hours of total access are included in the rental fee?
- What are the rates for additional setup or party hours?
2. Catering & Bar Policies
Food and beverage rules carry enormous financial implications: 1. Do you require us to use an in-house caterer, or do you have a mandatory preferred vendor list? 2. Is there a food and beverage minimum spend, and does that minimum include tax and service charges? 3. If we bring in an external caterer, is there a kitchen buyout or prep fee? 4. What is your alcohol policy: Can we BYOB (bring our own alcohol), or must we purchase through your bar packages? 5. If we supply our own wine or beer, what is the corkage fee per bottle? - Does the venue provide tables, chairs, linens, and dinnerware, or must they be rented from an outside rental company?
- If chairs and tables are included, who sets them up and breaks them down?
- Is there a dedicated private bridal suite and groom suite on-site for getting ready, and what time can we access them?
- Are there ample power outlets and dedicated circuits for the DJ or live band?

The site rental fee covers the physical building and grounds for a designated window of hours. A food & beverage minimum is the baseline pre-tax, pre-service spend you contractually guarantee on in-house dining and drinks.
Does the venue administrative service charge include gratuity for the banquet staff?
