Zero Third-Party Advertising Trackers

WedShare does not use invasive advertising cookies or cross-site advertising pixels. We use first-party storage for application features and optional partner referral attribution.

Essential Local Storage We Use

• wedshare_guest_id: An anonymous unique session identifier stored locally so a wedding guest can view their own uploaded photos under the “My Uploads” tab without creating an account.
• wedshare_guest_name: Remembers your first name during a wedding celebration so you don't have to re-type it for every batch of photos.
• wedshare_pin_verified_*: Stores temporary PIN verification so you don't have to re-enter a 4-digit PIN while browsing your friends' wedding gallery.

Public-page analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand visits to public pages and actions such as trying the demo, using a free tool or starting checkout. Google Analytics uses cookies and online identifiers. Our public-page tracking excludes private wedding and dashboard routes, entered tool values, file names and URL queries. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled.

The first-party wedshare_discovery cookie records a recognized search or AI referral source, how it was identified, a general landing-page category and the visit time. It expires after 24 hours and contains no email address, wedding identifier, payment details or chat URL. If you start Checkout within that period in the same browser, the source is saved with the verified order once payment completes. Unidentified sources remain unknown.

Enabling Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser disables this public-page tracking and clears the discovery cookie. It does not erase analytics or order records already collected.

Partner referral attribution

When you follow a partner referral link, the first-party wedshare_referral cookie stores a signed anonymous visit identifier. The default window is 60 days. It lets us credit the referring planner or venue when you create an account or purchase an eligible plan. It contains no email address or payment details and is not shared across other websites. Partners do not receive your email address.

You can disable future referral tracking in this browser below. The wedshare_referral_opt_out cookie remembers your choice for one year. We also honor Global Privacy Control for referral tracking. Changing your preference does not alter commissions already recorded on completed purchases.
