Start with the reception screen
Kululu’s wedding guide describes a browser-accessible live photo wall showing guest uploads. It explains using a screen or projector through a cable or casting. The wall is optional for collection. That makes the first decision straightforward: is your reception actually using a display, or do you only need an archive after the event?
Make a venue equipment checklist
Our suggested checklist starts with the display, its input connection, the organizer’s laptop or casting device, power and network access. Ask who will set it up and who will keep it running. A feature listed on a website cannot confirm that a venue has a compatible screen, sound setup or reliable guest connectivity.
Compare moderation as an operation
Before choosing a replacement, ask how new uploads are reviewed and who controls what appears publicly. Test with a harmless image that should be shown and another that should be withheld. Observe whether the album and screen have different visibility settings. Do not advertise that every upload will appear immediately if approval or film-reveal rules delay display.
Rehearse guest and host access separately
Use one phone signed out of the host account for contribution, and a separate browser for the wall. Check how the display behaves when the connection drops or the host device sleeps. Test a short video as well as a still photo; opening an album on a laptop does not prove that its screen behavior meets your reception requirements.
When a collector is enough
Couples without a reception display can prioritize file ownership, simple contributions and the archive instead. A cloud-connected collector or file-request workflow may be sufficient. Use the method comparison tool to compare those tasks rather than assuming you need the same live-wall feature elsewhere.
Considering WedShare’s slideshow
WedShare includes a slideshow on Standard and Pro, not Starter. Use the organizer demo to inspect the controls and compare plan features. Prepare guest wording with the instruction generator and enable its slideshow option only if you will actually run one. Keep an archive plan independent of the reception screen.
Evidence and limits

Official feature documentation was reviewed October 11, 2026. The rehearsal steps are recommendations, not reported test results from a paid Kululu account. We publish WedShare and have a commercial interest. No provider’s marketing participation percentage is treated as measured evidence in this comparison.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a projector to collect photos?
No. Collection and a live reception display are separate needs. Choose equipment only if you intend to show a wall.
Will every uploaded photo appear immediately?
Verify moderation and reveal settings. Approval rules or a delayed reveal can intentionally prevent immediate display.
What should I test at the venue?
Guest contributions, the actual display connection, power, network reliability and behavior when the host device sleeps.
Does WedShare Starter include a slideshow?
No. Review Standard or Pro if a reception slideshow is required.
